Good work comes from within. Our Fellows for Equality and other volunteers don’t stop working for a better world. They even managed to open a new Community Center in Bhiwani.
New Community Center in Haryana
Every state of India is affected by caste discrimination and violence, but Haryana is quite popular for violence and crime. Our community members point towards a different truth and engage in education and a better future for the scavenger community.
On November 22nd we could happily announce that another MSC-Center has been opened in Kacchi Line, Bhiwani, Haryana. Many people were involved in organizing and convincing the local community to join the movement for equality. Sanjiv Rose, our former Fellow for Equality, Preeit Kangra and Rajat Kangra showed outstanding engagement, but definitely weren’t the only ones who helped us make this happen.
Opening Ceremony With Special Guests
Bhiwani lines up in a row of successfully running community centers for the scavenger community. The principle behind these education hubs is not only selfhelp amongst the local community but also the connection to a nationwide network of scavenger communities.
Hence, the opening ceremony was joined by guests from the Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Community Resource Center in Solan, Himachal Pradesh and Ladwa, Haryana. The guests shared their own experience of social work and also reminded the recently joined community that there is still a lot of work to do.
Together, we can make the world a better place! Thanks for joinging us, Bhiwani.
