Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Community Resource Centres

Education needs an appropriate environment. Movement for Scavenger Community believes that change can happen from within the community. For this reason, MSC establishes and maintains self-help centres in different communities all over India. The centres are responsibly run by the the communities' commitees and serve as a common platform of education, exchange and development. The Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Community Resource Centres serve as a social platform to realise projects for equality.

Help for Self-help

Movement for Scavenger Community works community-focussed. Instead of having a pre-planned programme, we let the local communities define their own goals. In this framework, MSC works to establish appropriate places within the community and reaches out to community members to form democratic organs of decision making. The community sets the aims, we give them the tools. Activities and modes of education in the centres are organized hand in hand according to the wishes of the communities. Once established, the centres run without further intervention from MSC. Nonetheless, our workers communicate and connect the local commitees and train young leaders to be able to efficiently maintain the movement towards equality. Facilities and the establishment of centres is dependent on funds. If you want to help establishing and maintaining the Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Community Resource Centres, you can donate here.
